Van Duijn De Jong Aubergines is looking for someone to join our Finance & HR departments. Would you like to work in a versatile position in which you can further develop yourself? Then we would like to get in touch with you!

As Back Office Finance & HR, you will support us in our daily work, as well as in future projects. Below we explain what we mean by that.

What will you do?

You will work at our office in Steenbergen, but you will perform tasks for the entire company, including the other branches. You will work independently with a varied range of tasks and thus get a lot of freedom.

You will provide support in financial and personnel administration, which we would like to further professionalize. Your input will also be used by the management for strategic decisions.

To get a good idea of exactly what this position entails, we have written down your main duties below:

  • Digitally enter invoices and monitor the processing process.
  • Processing statements and preparing payments.
  • Filing of VAT returns.
  • Management of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Miscellaneous financial audit work.
  • Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements used for future strategic decisions.
  • Support personnel administration.
Your profile
  • MBO working and thinking level is a requirement, HBO thinking level a plus. We are convinced that we can offer you enough challenge.
  • Accounting/Financial knowledge is a plus.
  • Good command of Excel.
  • You are accurate, work independently and take initiative.
  • You can switch gears quickly if something does not go according to plan and you think in practical solutions.
  • Experience in the greenhouse industry is not a requirement.
Who are we?

Van Duijn De Jong Aubergines is a greenhouse horticulture company in South-West Netherlands that was created after a merger of two family businesses in 2023. We have 4 growing locations with a total acreage of 39 hectares. Our company is in full development and therefore looking to expand our middle management.

Our eggplants (23 million pounds annually) are sold worldwide under the Purple Pride brand. We believe in the potential of eggplants as a healthy, delicious vegetable and continuously see new challenges to further develop our organization.
